Pneumatic Compression Recovery Treatment

This treatment uses pressurized compartments to compress the targeted area, helping to mobilize fluids
and speed up the body’s natural process of filtering out lactic acid, metabolites, and other debris that can build up after exercise.

Normatec Systems

NormaTec Compression is an innovative technology designed to enhance recovery and circulation. Utilized by athletes, patients, and wellness enthusiasts, it employs dynamic air compression to massage limbs, aiding in the removal of metabolic waste and increasing blood flow.

The system consists of inflatable sleeves that rhythmically inflate and deflate, simulating the natural muscle pump. This helps reduce soreness, swelling, and fatigue post-activity or surgery. NormaTec Compression is valued for its potential to expedite recovery processes and improve overall well-being. Its application spans sports therapy, medical rehabilitation, and general relaxation, making it a versatile tool for promoting physical recovery.

Recovery Systems

New Zealander Mike Lyons, endurance athlete and coach, established the company over 8 years ago to produce products for athletic and medical recovery.

Both offer compression treatment for the arms, hips, and legs and it is safe and easy to use. You have control over the intensity of the massage/compression and can adjust it to your liking using the control device. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, you can simply turn off the power and remove the equipment.

The Benefits

Pneumatic Recovery systems are designed to externally compress the limbs in a way that mimics normal physiology using a sophisticated pulsing, gradient, and distal release compression pattern for the most effective recovery tool.

This type of compression helps with:

  1. improved blood flow and accelerated muscle recovery
  2. reduced swelling and inflammation
  3. increasing flexibility and range of motion
  4. removing exercise-related waste including lactic acid.

Pneumatic compression therapy can help treat many conditions including:

  1. Arthritis
  2. Tendonitis
  3. Muscle spasms and soreness
  4. Shin Splints
  5. Carpal tunnel syndrome
